Default Hot Italian Beauty!

I got this "new" little 120 half-frame camera on ebay for $10 the other day, and I've been loving the split/half-frame action. It's the bencini koroll 24S, and it takes 24 3 x 4.5 images on a roll of 120 film. It's kinda like the holga in that it has two shutter speeds (1/50 and B) and two aperture settings (f9 and f16). It's much better made than the holga though, with the mostly metal body (aluminum?) and glass lens. It's not a super sharp lens but I really like how it looks. Here're my picks from the first six rolls I shot:

chess players

the mint building

walkin'

sunset

chick apartments

north beach colors

you shoot, i shoot

freeway demolition

flying buttress

All the b&w was shot on macophot up 100 film, and the colors are on fuji chrome (NO x-process. just normal E6).

Yup! There're two red windows in the back, and you scroll the film until the number first shows up in the left hole and make the first 1/2 exposure. Then you scroll until the same number shows up in the right hole, and you make the 2nd exposure. So you can control how much the exposures overlap.

I like the egg cartons. B&W is mostly about texture for me.

I really like those middle colour shots, especially the cowboy one. That you've shot 6 rolls through already says how much you like it.

120 half frame? I'm in! plus I love italian cameras, women, and cars. Funny because I have none of the above.

Very nice Will, the Sunset shot has a really "Cali" feel towards it. That camera seems dope!
